Miguel Luís Pinto Veloso (born May 11, 1986 in Coimbra ) is a Portuguese football player .
Career
society
Veloso's father Antonio was already a professional soccer player, he played for Benfica Lisbon and for the Portuguese national soccer team . Like his father, Miguel Veloso began his career at Benfica Lisbon. At the age of 14, however, he moved to city competitor Sporting Lisbon . After four years in the team's youth teams, he was loaned to CD Olivais e Moscavide in the 2005/06 season . After a good season there, he was accepted into the first team Sportings. In July 2010 he moved to CFC Genoa , in return Alberto Zapater moved to Sporting Lisbon. After his strong performances at the European Championship, Veloso signed a four-year contract with Dynamo Kiev in early July 2012 . For the 2016/17 season he moved back to CFC Genoa.
National team
Veloso was first nominated for the Portuguese national team in August 2007 . He made his debut on October 13, 2007 in the game against Azerbaijan and was in the Portuguese squad for the Euro 2008 and 2012 , as well as the 2010 and 2014 World Cup .
