Josip Iličić (born January 29, 1988 in Prijedor , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Slovenian football player . He is under contract with Atalanta Bergamo in the Italian Serie A.

Career

Club career

Iličić's career began with the youth teams of ND Triglav Kranj and NK Britof . At the age of 19 he moved to a professional club, NK Bonifika Izola , where he played for one season. His talent was noticed by the capital club Interblock Ljubljana , so he moved again and played for this club for two seasons. In August 2010 he moved to US Palermo for 2.3 million euros.

After the relegation of US Palermo, Iličić was signed by Fiorentina for nine million euros in July 2013 and signed a contract until 2017.

In summer 2017 Iličić moved to Atalanta Bergamo .

National team career

Iličić made his debut for Slovenia in a friendly against Australia on August 11, 2010.
