Remo Freuler (born April 15, 1992 in Ennenda ) is a Swiss football player who is under contract with Atalanta Bergamo in the Italian Serie A.

Career

Remo Freuler spent his junior years at FC Hinwil and FC Winterthur . In July 2010 he moved to the Grasshopper Club Zurich , where he made his first appearances in the Super League. In February 2012 he was loaned back to FC Winterthur in the Challenge League , and in the summer of 2013 after the loan expired, he definitely moved there.

In February 2014 he moved to FC Luzern in the Super League, where he signed a contract until the end of June 2017. He immediately made the leap to become a regular. FC Luzern played a total of 63 championship games in the two years and scored nine goals.

In January 2016, Freuler moved to Serie A at Atalanta Bergamo in Italy , where he signed a contract until the end of June 2019. He made his debut on February 7, 2016 in a 0-0 home game against FC Empoli in Serie A, where he played straight through.

National team

Freuler completed a total of 27 international junior matches from the U-18s to the U-21s for Switzerland and scored five goals.

Freuler made his debut on March 25, 2017 in a 1-0 World Cup qualifying home game for the 2018 World Cup against Latvia for the Swiss national soccer team .

At the 2018 World Cup in Russia, he was part of the Swiss squad . He was not used and was eliminated with the team in the round of 16.
