Roberto Firmino , full name Roberto Firmino Barbosa de Oliveira (born October 2, 1991 in Maceió ), is a Brazilian football player . The offensive player is under contract with Liverpool and plays for the Brazilian national team .

Beginnings in Brazil
Roberto Firmino started playing football at CR Brasil in Maceió . In 2008 he moved to the youth department of Figueirense FC in southern Brazil , for which he made his debut in the Brazilian Campeonato Brasileiro Serie B in October 2009. When he was 19, Tombense FC , entrepreneur Eduardo Uram's club , bought 5% of his transfer rights. After 36 appearances in which he scored seven goals, he was voted the best player of the season.
TSG 1899 Hoffenheim
On January 1, 2011, Roberto Firmino moved to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and received a contract that ran until 2015. On February 26, 2011 (24th matchday) he made his debut in the Bundesliga when he came on for Sebastian Rudy in the 75th minute in the 1: 2 home defeat against 1. FSV Mainz 05 . His first Bundesliga goal secured the 1-0 home win over Eintracht Frankfurt on April 16, 2011 (30th matchday) . In 2019 he won the UEFA Champions League with Liverpool FC and the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup against Flamengo Rio de Janeiro in December 2019 , scoring the winning goal to make it 1-0 after extra time. In the season 2019/20 Firmino won the English championship with Liverpool.

On October 23, 2014 was Roberto Firmino national coach Carlos Dunga for the first time to the senior team invited. He made his debut on November 12, 2014 in a 4-0 win in the friendly against Turkey when he came on in the 75th minute for Luiz Adriano . He scored his first international goal in his second international match on November 18, 2014 in a 2-1 win over Austria with the winning goal in the 83rd minute. On May 5, 2015, he was appointed to the squad for the 2015 Copa America in Chile . In the third group game of the competition, he scored his first competitive goal for the national team in the game against Venezuela . Also during the 2019 Copa América Firmino was in the squad of the team. With this he was able to win the title. He was in the starting line-up in all six games.
