Alexander "Alex" Mark David Oxlade-Chamberlain [ ˌɒksleɪd ˈtʃeɪmbəlɪn ] (born August 15, 1993 in Portsmouth ) is an English football player who is under contract with the English first division club Liverpool .
Career
society
Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has been playing in his own youth academy since he was seven, made his debut on March 2, 2010 at the age of 16 for the professional team of Southampton FC . Opponent in the third division game was Huddersfield Town , which were defeated 5-0. In total, he played two league games in the 2009/10 season. In the course of the season Oxlade-Chamberlain (34 games / 10 goals) earned a place in the regular formation and was chosen as an award for his good performance in the PFA Team of the Year in League One. The FC Southampton finished the Football League One 2010/11 as runners-up behind Brighton & Hove Albion and thus achieved promotion to the second division.
For the 2011/12 season, Oxlade-Chamberlain moved to Arsenal at the age of 17 . After six years, he joined league rivals Liverpool FC in August 2017 . In December 2019, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Liverpool won the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup against Flamengo Rio de Janeiro 1-0 after extra time.
National team
After he had already acted for the U-18 and U-19 national teams, Oxlade-Chamberlain was appointed for the first time on February 2, 2011 by Stuart Pearce in the squad of the U-21 national team in the game against Italy . With his substitution in the 60th minute for Henri Lansbury , he celebrated his debut, which was lost 1-0 after a goal from Federico Macheda .
