Kamil Grabara (born January 8, 1999 in Ruda Śląska ) is a Polish football goalkeeper who has been under contract with Liverpool FC since 2018 .

Career

The native of Ruda Śląska in the Upper Silesian industrial area began playing football in his hometown with Wawel Wirek Ruda Śląska and later moved to Stadion Śląski Chorzów in Chorzów , 10 kilometers from his previous place of work, before Grabara joined Ruch Chorzów .

At the beginning of January 2016, Grabara, who had just turned 17, moved to England to join the youth team at Liverpool FC . From the 2016/17 season he was used in the U18 and U23. In the 2017/18 season he also played with the U19s in the UEFA Youth League . In September 2018 in the League Cup against Chelsea, he was behind Simon Mignolet in the professional matchday squad. In the 2018/19 season, Grabara was only used in the U23 in Premier League 2 .

At the beginning of January 2019, Grabara moved to the Danish first division club Aarhus GF until the end of the 2018/19 season . There he came to 16 league appearances.

For the season 2019/20 returned Grabara to England and was in the second division Huddersfield Town lent. In the Premier League relegated team, who was trained by the German Jan Siewert in the first few games , Grabara was used 28 times before the season ended for him from the end of January due to a head injury.

National team

After Grabara played for the Polish U17s in 2015 and for the U19s in 2016, he has been a member of the Polish U21 national football team since 2017. He made his debut in 2017 in a 2-1 home win over Denmark .
