Curtis Julian Jones (born January 30, 2001 in Liverpool ) is an English football player who plays as a midfielder for the Premier League club Liverpool FC .
Career
society
Raised in Liverpool city center, Jones began playing for Liverpool from the U9 selection. After making his U23 debut in January 2018, Jones signed his first professional contract on February 1, 2018. He was nominated in Liverpool's squad for the Premier League game against Everton on April 7, 2018, but remained unused. Jones made his professional debut on January 7, 2019 in the third round of the FA Cup against Wolverhampton Wanderers . His second competitive game for the club took place on September 25, 2019 in a League Cup trophy match against Milton Keynes Dons, in which he was voted Player of the Game. In the next round of this competition, he converted the decisive penalty in the penalty shoot-out against Arsenal after the regular game had ended 5-5.
He made his Premier League debut on December 7, 2019 in a 3-0 away win over AFC Bournemouth . On January 5, 2020, Jones was in the starting line-up for the FA Cup game in Anfield against Everton and scored his first goal in the 71st minute with a brilliant shot for the Reds' professional team, which also made it into the next round of the FA cups meant.
In December 2019, Jones won the FIFA Club World Cup 2019 with Liverpool FC against Flamengo Rio de Janeiro 1-0 after extra time, but was not used in the final. At the end of the 2019/20 season, he was English champion with Liverpool FC.
