Takumi Minamino ( Japanese 南 野 拓 実 , Minamino Takumi ; born January 16, 1995 in Izumisano , Osaka Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player who is under contract with Liverpool FC . In addition, the offensive player is a Japanese international .
Career
society
Minamino started his career at Cerezo Osaka . In November 2012, he made his debut in the J1 League when he came on on the 32nd matchday of the 2012 season against Ōmiya Ardija in the 72nd minute for Takuma Edamura . By the end of the season he came to three missions.
In July 2013 he scored his first goal in the top Japanese division in a 2-2 draw against Júbilo Iwata . His first brace followed in December 2013 in a 5-2 win over Urawa Red Diamonds . In the 2013 season he came to a total of 29 league appearances, in which he scored five goals. In the 2014 season he played 30 games and scored two goals.
In January 2015 he moved to Austria for FC Red Bull Salzburg , where he received a contract with options that ran until June 2018. He made his Bundesliga debut in February 2015 against SC Wiener Neustadt . In March 2015 he scored his first two goals in the Bundesliga in a 4-1 win against FC Admira Wacker Mödling . In the 2014/15 season he made 14 appearances for Salzburg, in which he scored three goals. With Salzburg he was champion and cup winner at the end of the season.
In the 2015/16 season he made 32 appearances in the Bundesliga, in which he scored ten goals, and he was able to defend the double with his team. In February 2017, the Japanese scored three goals in a Bundesliga game for the first time in a 6-1 win against SV Ried . In the following season , Minamino completed 21 games in which he scored eleven goals. With Salzburg he won the double for the third time in a row. In February 2018, his contract was extended to May 2021. In the 2017/18 season , the offensive player made a total of 28 appearances in the Bundesliga, in which he scored seven goals. With Salzburg he was again champion that season, but the cup win was missed.
In the following season 2018/19 , RB again won the championship and cup double, Minamino played 45 competitive games and contributed 14 goals and ten assists.
In January 2020, the Japanese moved to the English Premier League for Liverpool FC .
National team
Minamino played for various youth national teams. With the Japanese U23 national team , he won the U23 Asian Cup in 2016 in Qatar and was thus able to qualify for the 2016 Olympic football tournament in Brazil , in which Japan was eliminated third in the group. In October 2015 he made his debut in a friendly against Iran for the senior national team of his home country.
