The Austrian Football Association's Cup was played for the 80th time in the 2014/15 season. The official name of the competition was "ÖFB Samsung Cup" for the fourth time in a row. The winner was eligible to take part in the 2015/16 UEFA Europa League play- offs; if the cup winner had already qualified for the UEFA Europa League or the UEFA Champions League, the fifth placed in the table took part in the qualification for the UEFA Europa League .
The defending champion was FC Red Bull Salzburg , who won the title as a Bundesliga team last season.

The individual rounds in the Austrian Football Cup take place as follows:
- 1st round: 11th / 12th / 13th July 2014 (draw: July 2, 2014)
- 2nd round: 23/24 September 2014 (draw on August 3, 2014)
- Round of 16: 28./29. October 2014 (draw on September 28, 2014)
- Quarter-finals: 7th / 8th April 2015 (draw on November 2, 2014)
- Semi-finals: 28/29 April 2015 (draw on April 12, 2015)
- Final: June 3 or 4, 2015 in Klagenfurt
Attendees
In the first round, in which 64 teams took part, the teams of the Bundesliga and the teams of the First League were firmly qualified. Only one team per Bundesliga / First League club was allowed to compete. H. their amateur teams were not eligible to play. The remaining places were allocated to amateur clubs in the national associations according to a fixed key:
- Burgenland , Carinthia , Salzburg , Tyrol , Vorarlberg : 4 each
- Vienna : 5
- Upper Austria , Styria : 6 each
- Lower Austria : 7
The contingent of participants of each regional association included the winner of the respective regional cup 2013/14 as well as possibly losers of the relegation between the 2nd and 3rd performance level (first league / regional league ).

Remarks
- ↑ According to the statutes, FC Liefering is independent, but since it is under the control of Red Bull, it is to be regarded as a second club of FC Red Bull Salzburg. The promotion to the first division was still permitted by the ÖFB, but the club does not participate in the cup. (see The League made it official: LASK failed to Red Bull. Upper Austrian News, June 28, 2013, accessed on 3 July 2013 . ) Instead, the moves TSV St. Johann as losers of Landescup-finals of the Salzburger Land Association after.
- ↑ SV Austria Salzburg is qualified for the ÖFB-Cup both as a national cup winner and a relegation loser.

Endgame
The final was played on June 3, 2015 in Klagenfurt's Wörthersee Stadium . As in the previous year, FC Red Bull Salzburg won the championship and cup double. So far, only SK Rapid Wien (1920) and FK Austria Wien (1963) have managed to defend their title twice .
