Marco Perchtold (born September 21, 1988 in Graz ) is an Austrian football player .
Career
Marco Pechtold began his career at LUV Graz and moved to the youth department of the Grazer AK in 2003 at the age of 15 . He fought his way up to the first team in the athletics division and made his Bundesliga debut on December 9, 2006 in the game against SV Pasching . In spring he scored his first goal in the Bundesliga.
After the forced relegation due to the bankruptcy of Graz, many players left the club. Perchtold stayed one more season until he moved to FC Magna Wiener Neustadt in the first division for the 2008/09 season. There he was not used during the autumn season and was awarded to FC Gratkorn in spring 2009 . In the summer of 2009 he was firmly committed to the Gratkorn. After two more seasons in Styria, FC Gratkorn rose to the third division; Perchtold decided to stay longer and signed a contract that ran until 2012.
In spring 2012 he moved to league competitor FC Pasching , which was sponsored by the Red Bull company from then on. The relegation-threatened club signed him as a stabilizer for the defense; FC Pasching managed to stay in the league this spring. The following season he finished the season with his team in second place; in the 2012/13 season he won the Austrian Cup with FC Pasching. Perchtold became the team's leading player that season. By winning the cup, the club qualified for the final qualifying round of the 2013/14 UEFA Europa League. There Pechtold played twice from the start over the full playing time in the games against GD Estoril-Praia from Portugal.
In January 2014 he signed a loan contract with SV Grödig until the end of the season . At the end of the 2013/14 season, Perchtold and the team qualified again for the UEFA Europa League after taking third place in the Austrian Bundesliga.
For the 2014/15 season he moved to Kapfenberger SV . After the 2015/16 season he left Kapfenberg.
In August 2016, he moved to the Bundesliga club SKN St. Pölten , where he received a contract that was valid until June 2017.
In July 2017 he returned to the meanwhile fourth class Graz AK, where he received a contract valid until June 2020. With the GAK he rose to the end of the season in the regional league. In 2019 he also rose to the 2nd division with the Grazers.
