Mario Kröpfl (born December 21, 1989 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian football player on the position of midfielder .

Career

Kröpfl began his career as a soccer player in 1996 at ATUS Pörtschach in Carinthia . In 2001 he moved to FC Kärnten in Klagenfurt . After six years he went to the newly founded SK Austria Kärnten in 2007 , whose academy he attended until 2008. From July 2008, Kröpfl was used by the amateurs of the club. On May 21, 2009 he made his Bundesliga debut under coach Frenkie Schinkels : In the game against SV Ried , Kröpfl came on for Stefan Hierländer in the 61st minute of the game ; the game ended in a 2-1 defeat. In summer 2010, after the bankruptcy and relegation of Austria to FC Gratkorn, he moved to the second highest Austrian division. After the Styrians were relegated, he moved to the second division team Wolfsberger AC in the summer of 2011 . With the WAC he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2012 . In 2014 he joined the second division club SV Horn . For the 2015/16 season he moved to the regional division SV Lafnitz . With the Lafnitzern he was able to rise to the 2nd division as champions of the Regionalliga Mitte in 2017/18 .
