Georg Grasser (born October 3, 1990 ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

society

Grasser began his career at SV Dobl . In 2002 he joined the youth team at SK Sturm Graz . In 2004 he switched to the youth of the Grazer AK , where he would later play in the academy. In August 2007 he made his debut for the first team of the GAK in the Regionalliga when he was in the starting line-up against USV Allerheiligen on the first day of the 2007/08 season and was replaced by Alin Asii in the 64th minute. In May 2008 he scored his first goal in the Regionalliga in a 1-1 draw against SV Gmunden . In his first season for the first team in Graz, he completed 15 games in the regional league, in which he scored one goal. At the end of the season, he finished third in the regional league middle with the Grazers.

For the 2008/09 season he moved to England for the reserve team of West Ham United . After two years in England, he returned to the GAK for the 2010/11 season without having completed a job for the professionals of the Londoners. After his return, he played 20 regional league games that season and scored two goals. At the end of the season he was in third place in the table with the GAK.

After a season with the Grazers, Grasser switched to league rivals DSV Leoben for the 2011/12 season . For Leoben he made 25 appearances in the regional league that season and scored one goal. At the end of the season he was with the club in fifth place in the table. After a year with Leoben, he joined the league competitor USV Allerheiligen for the 2012/13 season. In his first season he completed 27 games in the Regionalliga for the club from southern Styria, in which he scored three goals. At the end of the season, Allerheiligen was in seventh place in the table. In the 2013/14 season Grasser made a total of 29 appearances in the league, only on the second match day he was suspended. He finished the season with his club in tenth place.

For the 2014/15 season he moved to the newly promoted SC Weiz . For the Weizer, Grasser completed 26 games in the Regionalliga in that season, in which he scored two goals. At the end of the season, he finished fourth in the table with the promoted team. After a season at Weiz, he moved to league rivals SV Lafnitz for the 2015/16 season . In his first season for Lafnitz he made 24 appearances in the Regionalliga and scored one goal. With Lafnitz he finished the season as sixth in the table.

In his second season at Lafnitz he was able to become runner-up in the Regionalliga Mitte with the club , two points behind the champions TSV Hartberg . In the 2016/17 season, Grasser played 29 of the 30 season games, he only missed one game. In the 2017/18 season he was finally able to advance to the 2nd division with Lafnitz as champion of the Regionalliga Mitte . In the promotion season he came to 22 missions in which he remained without a goal. After promotion, he made his debut in the second-highest division in March 2019 when he came on as a substitute for Mario Kröpfl in the 84th minute against the second team of FK Austria Wien on matchday 20 of the 2018/19 season .

National team

Grasser played three games for the Austrian U-19 selection between 2008 and 2009 . In September 2009 he also came against Switzerland for a mission for the U-20 team .
