Philipp Semlic (born April 21, 1983 in Waldbach ) is an Austrian football coach .

Career

As a player

Semlic began his career at SVH Waldbach , where he also played on the combat team. For the 2006/07 season he moved to USC Sonnhofen . After four seasons with Sonnhofen, he ended his career in 2010 at the age of 27.

As a trainer

From January 2010 Semlic acted as a youth trainer at TSV Hartberg . From October 2012 he was also assistant trainer for the professionals. After the 2012/13 season he left Hartberg. Semlic briefly trained the women's team of SK Sturm Graz on an interim basis in September 2013 . After a little over a week as a trainer, he was replaced by Markus Hiden and remained with the Graz women as an individual trainer . From January 2014 he supported Roland Spreitzer at USC Sonnhofen .

In January 2015 he became the trainer of the fifth class amateurs at TSV Hartberg . For the 2016/17 season, he and Uwe Hölzl became the head coach of Hartberg's third-class first team. Under Semlic and Hölzl, the Hartbergers were champions of the Middle Regional League that season and were promoted to the 2nd division . After the rise Semlic left the Hartberger and became a trainer in the academy of SK Sturm Graz.

In January 2020 he became the coach of the second division club SV Lafnitz .
