Miron Muslic (born September 14, 1982 in Bihać , SFR Yugoslavia , today Bosnia and Herzegovina ) is a former Austrian football player and now coach .
Career
As a player
Muslic began his career at FC Wacker Innsbruck . After its dissolution, he played for FC Tirol Innsbruck from 1999 . In October 2000 he moved to the second division club SV Wörgl . He made his debut for Wörgl in the second division in March 2001 when he came on as a substitute for Markus Unterrainer on the 24th matchday of the 2000/01 season against First Vienna FC at half-time .
For the 2002/03 season Muslic moved to Croatia for NK Novalja . After a season abroad, he returned to Wörgl in 2003. In September 2003 he scored his first second division goal in a 2-2 draw against BSV Juniors Villach . With Wörgl he had to relegate in 2005 from the second highest division.
He then moved to the 2005/06 season for regional division SVG Reichenau , for which he completed 18 games. In the summer of 2006 he joined league rivals SV Hall . For Hall he scored 21 goals in 29 games in the Regionalliga West in the 2006/07 season. For the 2007/08 season he moved to the Bundesliga club SV Ried . He made his Bundesliga debut in July 2007 when he came on as a substitute for Jovan Damjanović in the 83rd minute against SK Austria Kärnten on the third matchday of that season .
After four games in the Bundesliga, Muslic moved to regional division SV Gmunden during the winter break of the 2007/08 season . With Gmunden he was relegated to the Upper Austrian League at the end of the season . For the 2010/11 season he joined the league competitor ATSV Sattledt . With Sattledt he was relegated from the fourth highest division in 2012. He then joined the fifth-class Union Weißkirchen in summer 2012 , with whom he rose to the Upper Austrian League in 2014.
For the 2015/16 season he returned to SV Ried, where he joined the amateur team. After the 2016/17 season he ended his active career.
As a trainer
In 2014, Muslic acted as Alfred Olzinger's assistant trainer at Union Weißkirchen . From the 2015/16 season, in addition to his work as a player, he was also the assistant coach of Thomas Weissenböck for the amateurs of SV Ried .
From the 2017/18 season he coached the Rieder U-18 academy team. In April 2018 he became Weissenböck's assistant trainer for the Rieder professionals. He also took over Ried's amateurs as head coach for the 2018/19 season.
After Weissenböck resigned in November 2018, Muslic took over SV Ried as head coach for one game on an interim basis. In December 2018 he gave up his activity as a trainer for amateurs to only work as an assistant trainer. After the 2018/19 season, he left the professionals and returned to the academy.
For the 2020/21 season he was coach of the second division Floridsdorfer AC .
