Nico Pichler (born March 2, 1998 in Knittelfeld ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Pichler began his career at FC St. Margarethen / Knittelfeld . For the 2010/11 season he moved to the youth team of FC Judenburg . After a season in Judenburg, he joined the youth team of SK Sturm Graz for the 2011/12 season . For the 2012/13 season he moved to AKA Burgenland , where he went through all age groups.

In May 2016 he was against SV Wimpassing for the first time in the amateur squad of SV Mattersburg . He made his debut for this in the national league in the same month when he was substituted on for Alexander Taschner on the 33rd match day of the 2015/16 season against the second team of SC-ESV Parndorf 1919 in the 65th minute . By the end of the season, he came to three appearances in the fourth highest division. In the 2016/17 season, Pichler came to 20 missions in which he remained without a goal. In April 2018 he scored his first goal for Mattersburg II in a 4-1 win against FC Deutschkreutz . At the end of the season he was promoted to the regional league with the amateurs . He made his debut in this in August 2018, when he was in the starting line-up against SV Leobendorf on the first matchday of the 2018/19 season. In his first regional league season he came to 19 missions.

In November 2019, he was against SKN St. Pölten for the first time in the squad of the professionals from Mattersburg. He made his debut for this in the Bundesliga in December 2019 when he came on as a substitute for Christoph Halper in the 52nd minute on the 18th matchday of the 2019/20 season against WSG Tirol . The club stopped playing after the 2019/20 season.

He then moved to the second division Floridsdorfer AC at the end of August 2020 .

His twin brother Luca is also a soccer player.
