Training models

According to the concept of the Austrian football academies , the students at AKA Burgenland are dual, i.e. H. trained in both areas of football and school / work.

For school training, a cooperation was entered into with the HAK Mattersburg and, for academy players from southern Burgenland, with the BSSM Oberschützen . In the case of HAK Mattersburg, the classic HAK curriculum was adapted to be school-autonomous and expanded to include sports science, tactics and rhetoric as well as mandatory exercises in the form of technique, fitness and individual training. The specialty of the BSSM model is that it works with the Burgenland School & Sport Model Association, whose President is Governor Hans Niessl , and that this model is not only open to footballers, but also to athletes from different sports. Everyday school life is organized with both school partners in such a way that parts of the training and lessons are held at the respective school location. Certain teaching units of the HAK Mattersburg also take place in the premises of the academy.

For academy players who do not want to take the school path, there is an alternative to professional training as an eco-energy technician , which takes place in the training workshops of the BFI Burgenland .
