Marvin Potzmann (born December 7, 1993 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player on the position of midfielder .
Career
society
Potzmann began his career at Post SV Wien , where he was active from 1999 to 2001. In 2001 he moved to Burgenland for SV Ollersdorf, where he was in their youth team until 2007. He was then accepted into the Burgenland Academy and one year later joined the youth department of SV Mattersburg .
In 2010 came the next career leap and Potzmann came into the squad of Mattersburg amateurs in the Regionalliga Ost. There he was used eleven times in his first season. The amateurs finished tenth in the league. In the following season, the midfielder matured into a regular player. For these good performances he was rewarded by the first team coach Franz Lederer and made his debut in the top Austrian division on May 22, 2011 in the away game against Kapfenberger SV . Potzmann came on in the 67th minute for Ilčo Naumoski . The game in Kapfenberg was lost 1: 2.
After the relegation of SV Mattersburg in 2013, he moved to SV Grödig, which rose in the same year. After two seasons in Salzburg, he did not extend his contract, which expired in June 2015, and is moving to Sturm Graz on a free transfer. He signed a contract with Steirern for two years with the option for another.
For the 2018/19 season he moved to league competitor SK Rapid Wien , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2021. For Rapid he completed 21 Bundesliga games in that season in which he scored one goal.
In August 2019, he moved to league competitor LASK , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2022.
National team
Potzmann worked for Austria's U-16 , U-17 and U-18 teams between 2008 and 2010 .
He was appointed to the senior national team for the first time in May 2018 .
