Christian Ramsebner (born March 26, 1989 in Kirchdorf an der Krems ) is an Austrian football player . The defender is under contract with LASK .

Career

society

Ramsebner began his career at Union Pettenbach . For the 2003/04 season he came to the academy of FK Austria Vienna , where he went through all ages from then on. For the 2006/07 season he moved into the squad of the second team of Austria. He made his debut for this in the second division in August 2006, when he was in the starting line-up against SC Schwanenstadt on the first day of that season . In November 2006 he was against Sparta Prague for the first time in the squad of the professionals of Austria, for which he was not used. In May 2007 he scored his first goal in the second division in a 2-1 win for the second team against TSV Hartberg . In the 2006/07 season he came to a total of 28 missions. In the following 2007/08 season, he completed 30 second division games in which he scored a goal. In the 2008/09 season, 31 more second division games for Austria Wien II followed.

For the 2009/10 season he moved to the newly promoted Bundesliga SC Wiener Neustadt . He made his Bundesliga debut in July 2009 when he came on as a substitute for Václav Koloušek on matchday three of that season against SV Ried in the 87th minute . In May 2010 he scored his first goal in the top division in a 2-2 draw against SK Austria Kärnten . In his first Bundesliga season he made 30 appearances for the Lower Austrians. In the 2010/11 season, the central defender made 27 Bundesliga appearances. In the 2011/12 season he only made ten missions due to injuries. In the 2012/13 season he played 19 Bundesliga games, in which he scored two goals, and he also played a game for the amateurs of Wiener Neustadt in the fifth-highest division.

After four seasons in Lower Austria, he returned to Wiener Austria for the 2013/14 season, where he received a contract that ran until June 2015. With Austria he took part in his first season after successfully qualifying in the UEFA Champions League , in which he made his debut in October 2013 against Zenit St. Petersburg . With Austria, however, he was eliminated in the group stage. In the league he came in his first season after his return to 15 missions, in which he scored four goals, he also came to two missions for the amateurs of Austria, who are now playing in the Regionalliga . In the 2014/15 season he played twelve Bundesliga games and one assignment in the regional league.

After his contract in Vienna expired, he moved to the second division LASK for the 2015/16 season . In his debut season he made 28 appearances in the second division for Upper Austria and missed promotion to the Bundesliga as a runner-up with the club. In the 2016/17 season, however, he was able to become second division champion with LASK and thus rose to the Bundesliga. In the promotion season he came to 30 appearances in the second division. In the first season after promotion to the top division, Ramsebner made 33 appearances in the Bundesliga and scored one goal, with the LASK he finished fourth and was thus qualified for the European Cup. In qualifying for the UEFA Europa League they failed in the following season, however, in the third round to Beşiktaş Istanbul . In the 2018/19 season he made 26 Bundesliga appearances and was runner-up with LASK. In qualifying for the Champions League, he failed with his club in the playoff at Club Bruges in the 2019/20 season , but at least they slipped into the group stage of the Europa League, in which they made it to the round of 16. In August 2019 he seriously injured his thigh in the Champions League qualification against FC Basel and was out for several months. During his injury break, his contract with Upper Austria was extended from October 2019 to June 2022. He made his comeback in February 2020. In the 2019/20 season, due to injury, he only made eight league appearances and finished the season with the LASK in fourth.

National team

Ramsebner played for the Austrian U-19 team from 2006 . With this he also took part in the European Championship in 2007, although Austria was eliminated in the preliminary round. Ramsebner was used in all three games in his country. In 2008 he completed five games for the U-20 team . In February 2009 he made his debut against Italy for the U-21 team , for which he came to twelve missions until September 2010.
