Mamoudou Karamoko (born September 8, 1999 in Paris ) is a French football player who also holds the Ivorian citizenship. The striker has been under contract with LASK since the 2020/21 season .

Career

Karamoko was trained as a youth at Paris FC and Racing Strasbourg . At the age of 18 he moved up to the club's U23 and also played for the first team twice in the French Cup . In the summer of 2019, his working paper in Strasbourg expired, but the club did not make him an offer to renew. The Frenchman then completed trial training sessions for German regional league team Sportfreunde Lotte and for Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg . Finally, Karamoko moved to Wolfsburg and received a two-year contract.

From the fourth matchday onwards, the striker was a regular in the second team and was able to contribute ten goals and one assist. On the 23rd match day of the 2019/20 Bundesliga season, Karamoko , who was briefly appointed to the matchday squad , came on the field under head coach Oliver Glasner in the 4-0 home win against Mainz 05 in the final phase for Josip Brekalo . This was his only mission for the VfL professionals. In addition, the Frenchman made 20 appearances for the second team until the regional league season was canceled, scoring twelve goals.

For the 2020/21 season he switched to the Austrian Bundesliga club LASK , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2024.
