Mads Emil Møller Madsen (born January 14, 1998 in Skanderborg ) is a Danish football player .

Career

Madsen began his career at Silkeborg IF . In August 2016 he was in the professional squad for the first time against Viborg FF . In October 2016 he made his debut for the professionals when he was in the starting line-up against Skive IK in the Cup . In December 2016 he finally made his debut in the Superliga when he came on as a substitute for Sammy Skytte in the 87th minute against Lyngby BK on matchday 21 of the 2016/17 season . By the end of the season he came to two league appearances for Silkeborg.

Madsen made three appearances in the 2017/18 season. With Silkeborg he had to relegate to the end of the season, however, after losing relegation against Esbjerg fB from the Danish top division. In March 2019, he scored his first goal for Silkeborg and his first goal in the 1st division in a 4-2 win against HB Køge . In the 2018/19 season he made 28 appearances in the second-highest division, in which he scored a goal. As a second division champion, he was able to climb back into the super league with Silkeborg at the end of the season.

In June 2020, he scored for the first time in the top division in a 6-0 win against Odense BK . With Silkeborg he rose in the 2019/20 season as the relegated bottom of the group A in the relegation round after only one season from the super league. He then moved to the Austrian Bundesliga club LASK for the 2020/21 season , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2024.

National team

Madsen came to two appearances for the Danish U-18 team in May 2016 . In October 2016, he played two games for the U-19 team . In September 2019 he made his debut against Hungary for the U-21 team .
