The Lyngby Boldklubben af ​​1921 is a Danish football club from Lyngby . In the 2019/20 season, the club will play in the Superliga , Denmark's top division . The club colors are blue and white.

General

The association was founded in 1921. Overall, Lyngby won the championship twice and the cup three times. After the many successes in the 1980s and 1990s, the club filed for bankruptcy in 2001 and was forcibly relegated to the third division. In the 2005/06 season the team was back in second place. A year later they became champions and rose to the super league . The ascent was followed by a direct descent. After the 2nd place in 2009/10 Lyngby rose from the Viasat Sport Division back to the SAS-Ligaen. After repeated relegation to the 1st division in 2012, he returned to the top Danish league with 1st place in the 2015/16 season.

The club became famous in 1992 with the Danish triumph at the 1992 European Football Championship in Sweden , when a total of four Lyngby players were on the line. The club's senior squad consists of players such as brothers Michael and Brian Laudrup . The club had the greatest youth success in 2006 when the U-18s became Danish youth champions.
