Hans Vilhelm Aabech (born November 1, 1948 in Copenhagen - † January 8, 2018 ) was a Danish football player . Aabech was a striker and played in his home country Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium .

Career

Aabech started his career at Skovshoved IF . He then moved to the team from Hvidovre IF , with whom he won the Danish championship in 1973 . In the same year he was voted Denmark's Footballer of the Year .

In 1973 and 1974 Aabech played his only three games for the Danish national team . In the summer of 1974 he moved to the Belgian first division club Club Bruges , where he played 16 games and scored five goals in the following season. This was followed by one year each with the Dutch teams FC Twente Enschede and De Graafschap and two years in Belgium with KV Ostend .

In 1979 Aabech returned to Denmark and joined Hvidovre IF. In 1980 he was the top scorer in the Danish league at Kjøbenhavns Boldklub . After holding positions at Lyngby BK and Hellerup IK , Aabech ended his career.
