Christian Dannemann Eriksen (born February 14, 1992 in Middelfart ) is a Danish football player . He has been under contract with Inter Milan since 2020 and has been a Danish international since 2010 .

Youth in Denmark

Eriksen started playing football before his third birthday at Middelfart G&BK , a club based in his birthplace. As a 13-year-old he moved to the youth team of Odense BK . At the age of 14 he played in the U16 team of his club and was voted "Best Technician" in the Danish youth league. In 2008 he played in the U16 and U19 team of the club, with which he also won the youth championship; he was the winning goal scorer in the 1-0 win in the final against Brøndby IF . In addition, he had developed into a key player in the Danish U17 national team. In 2008 he was voted the best "U-17 player in Denmark". Ajax Amsterdam

In October 2008 Eriksen signed a 2009-2010 youth contract with the Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam and moved to the youth academy of the record champions. After two seasons for the youth team, he was taken to the winter training camp by coach Martin Jol and made his competitive debut for the professional team on January 17, 2010 in the Eredivisie in the 1-1 away game against NAC Breda . At the end of January 2020, Eriksen left Tottenham Hotspur after seven years and moved to the Italian Serie A at Inter Milan . He signed a contract until 2024. Under head coach Antonio Conte , the Dane made 17 Serie A appearances (8 times from the start) by the end of the 2019/20 season , in which he scored one goal. Eriksen played 27 times for the Danish U17 national team between 2007 and 2009 , scoring ten goals.
