The 2019 UEFA Champions League Final between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool FC was the final of the 2018/19 Champions League season . It took place on June 1, 2019 at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium in Madrid . The participants were determined in the semi-finals on April 30th and May 1st ( first leg ) and May 7th and 8th ( second leg ).

On May 7th, Liverpool FC moved into the final as the first participant, followed by Tottenham Hotspur on May 8th. For Liverpool it was the sixth title win in this competition.

The pairing of the finals was only the second time in the history of the competition that two runners-up faced each other after 2009/10 .
