European Champion Clubs' Cup 1974/75

The 1975/76 European Cup was the 21st edition of the competition. 32 club teams took part, including 31 national champions from the previous season and the defending champions FC Bayern Munich , who only finished 10th in the Bundesliga . As the final venue, UEFA selected Hampden Park in Glasgow for May 12, 1976.

mode

The participants played in a pure cup mode with (except for the finals) back and forth games for the crown of European club football. In the case of a tie, the higher number of goals scored away counted first; if there was also a tie, the second leg was extended and, if necessary, a penalty shoot-out was played immediately afterwards.

1 round

The first legs took place on 16./17. and 21 (Nicosia vs. Akranes) September, the second legs on 28 September (Akranes vs. Nicosia) and October 1, 1975.
