Edmund Kaczor (born December 24, 1956 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The younger brother of Josef Kaczor was a member of the professional squad of FC Bayern Munich for the 1975/76 season , but moved to the second division Prussia Münster in October 1975 , stayed there until November 30, 1979 and changed at the beginning of the second half of the 1979/80 season back to the Bundesliga for MSV Duisburg . He made his debut in paid football on November 22, 1975 (15th matchday) in a 4-0 win at home against Alemannia Aachen ; he scored his first goal on January 24, 1976 (21st matchday) in a 2-1 win in the away game against Spandauer SV . In the first season he came to 24 appearances and six goals; for the Münster team a total of 88 games and 20 goals as well as three games (1 goal) in the DFB-Pokal competition. In the Bundesliga, he played his first of (only) five games on January 19, 1980 (18th matchday) in the 2-0 defeat in the away game against VfB Stuttgart . For the 1980/81 season he was part of the squad of the second division Rot-Weiß Oberhausen , for which he was also used twice in the DFB Cup competition (1 goal). From 1981/82 to 1982/83 he played for Austrian first division Linzer ASK , for which he played 60 of 66 division games and scored 24 goals. Although he was relegated in tenth place in 1981/82, he remained first class with the team as the Bundesliga was increased by six clubs to 16 in the following season.

Although Kaczor left Bayern Munich in October 1975 and did not play a league game, he played in the second leg of the first round of the European Cup against Jeunesse Esch , which was won with 3-1 goals in the Munich Olympic Stadium .
