Remarkable
In 1972, Santillana threatened to end his career at short notice because he allegedly only had one kidney. For this reason, Madrid wanted to sign German striker Hans Walitza from VfL Bochum . Shortly before the contract was signed, the Real doctors found a second kidney in Santillana. Walitza's obligation was therefore dropped.
