Ferdinand Keller (born July 30, 1946 in Munich ) is a former German soccer player . He played as a striker .

Keller began his career at the Munich suburb TSG Pasing before he made the leap into the Bundesliga with TSV 1860 Munich in 1969 . After the Lions were relegated to the Regionalliga Süd, he moved to Hannover 96 in 1970 . For Lower Saxony he scored 39 goals in 61 Bundesliga games over the next two years.

In 1972 he went back to TSV 1860 in the Regionalliga Süd . Together with his teammate, midfield conductor Hans-Joachim Weller , he cost a respectable 550,000 DM at the time. In the 1972/73 season he was the top scorer in the southern season with 26 goals. In 1974 Ferdinand Keller qualified with the Löwen for the newly created 2nd Bundesliga South . In his four years in 1860, he scored 93 goals in 126 games. He was then invited as a second division player in 1975 by national coach Helmut Schön , who was looking for a successor to Gerd Müller , to an international match for the German national team. He played 20 minutes in a 2-0 win against Austria in Vienna.

In 1976, Keller moved to Hamburger SV for 300,000 DM and a transfer game , with which he celebrated his greatest success in 1977, winning the European Cup Winners' Cup . In the European Cup season 1977/78 he was with six goals together with two other players top scorer of the cup competition. Then he let his career in the 2nd Bundesliga with Borussia Neunkirchen end.
