Fabinho , real name Fábio Henrique Tavares (born October 23, 1993 in Campinas ), is a Brazilian soccer player . He is mostly used in defensive midfield and is under contract with Liverpool FC .

Club career

Fabinho began his career at Paulínia FC , a club from the city of the same name . In 2011, the top Brazilian club Fluminense signed the young full-back. In the squad of the club's first team, he was first appointed on May 20, 2012 for a league game against Corinthians , but was ultimately not used. In the summer of 2012, Fabinho signed a contract with the Portuguese first division club Rio Ave FC , which ran until 2018 , but was loaned to Real Madrid's second team Real Madrid Castilla for the 2012/13 season . On August 17, 2012, he made his debut in the Segunda División against Villarreal . On May 8, 2013, he played under coach José Mourinho for the first time for Real Madrid in the Primera División .

For the 2013/14 season Fabinho moved on loan to the French Ligue 1 for AS Monaco . There he was able to prevail as a right-back and came to 26 missions. In the 2014/15 season , Fabinho only missed two league games and was in the starting line-up in 35 of his 36 appearances. He also played for the first time in the Champions League (ten missions, one goal). For the 2015/16 season , Fabinho was firmly committed and given a contract until June 30, 2019. In the 2016/17 season he was French champion with AS Monaco.

For the 2018/19 season, Fabinho moved to the English Premier League at Liverpool FC, coached by Jürgen Klopp . In 2019 Fabinho won the UEFA Champions League with Liverpool . He came to eleven missions (no goal). In the 2019/20 season , Fabinho won the English championship with Liverpool.

National team

Fabinho played the Cape Town International Challenge in Cape Town, South Africa , with the Brazilian U-20 national team . His team won the tournament by beating Argentina 2-0 in the final.
