Harry Wilson (born March 22, 1997 in Wrexham , Wales ) is a Welsh football player. He plays for Liverpool and is currently the youngest player ever to appear on the Welsh national football team .

Wilson is used on both the right and left wings .

Career

society

Wilson started playing soccer at the youth academy of Liverpool FC when he was 8 years old. In 2014 he signed a professional contract and has been a member of Liverpool FC's U21 team ever since.

In 2015, Wilson was loaned to the then English third division club Crewe Alexandra for half a year , where he came to seven missions.

Shortly before the start of the 2019/20 season, Wilson moved to league rivals AFC Bournemouth for a year on loan . There he came to 31 league appearances (20 times from the start), in which he scored 7 goals.

National team

On October 15, 2013 Wilson was substituted on in the last and meaningless World Cup qualifier against the selection of Belgium in the 87th minute. Through his commitment, at the age of 16 years and 207 days, he replaced Gareth Bale as the youngest Welsh national football player of all time. His nomination was favored by some injury-related failures in the Welsh squad. The fact that Wilson was used in the national team at such a young age is also attributed to the fact that he could have been used for the English national team through his English-born grandmother . By playing in an international competitive game for Wales, this possibility is no longer given.
