The KNVB-Pokal 2009/10 was the 92nd edition of the Dutch soccer cup competition. It began on August 29, 2009 with the first round, in which only the amateur teams participated, and ended with the finals on April 25 and May 6, 2010. From the second round, the professional teams of the Eredivisie and the Eerste Divisie participated.

A total of 88 teams took part in the competition: the 38 representatives of the two professional leagues, 48 amateur teams and two reserve / junior teams from professional clubs. 24 of the amateur representatives qualified via the respective relay championship of the Hoofd class (at the time the highest amateur league), the other half via the amateur cup competition. In addition to 39 clubs in the Hoofd class, six teams from the first class and one club each from the 5th to 7th league qualified .

In the final it came to the Dutch football classic ( De Klassieker ) Ajax Amsterdam against Feyenoord Rotterdam . Due to feared riots by the rival fans of Feyenoord and Ajax, the KNVB split it into two finals at short notice. Ajax won the first leg in Amsterdam 2-0 and the second leg in Rotterdam 4-1, winning the trophy for the 18th time.

Defending champion SC Heerenveen was eliminated in the round of 16 against PSV Eindhoven .
