Marko Pantelić [ ˈmarko ˈpantɛlitɕ ] ( Serbian - Cyrillic Марко Пантелић , born September 15, 1978 in Belgrade , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Serbian football player .
Career
society
Pantelić had started his professional career at Iraklis Saloniki before moving to Paris Saint-Germain in 1997 , where he was considered a great talent, but never asserted himself. His other stations were SK Sturm Graz , FC Yverdon , Lausanne-Sport , FK Obilić , FK Sartid Smederovo and Red Star Belgrade . In the 2004/05 season, the center forward was the top scorer in the Serbian SuperLiga with 21 goals .
For the 2005/06 season Pantelić was loaned from Red Star Belgrade to the German capital club Hertha BSC . On April 14, 2006, Hertha used a purchase option and signed the striker for another three years. After not qualifying for the Champions League in the 2008/09 season, Hertha BSC decided not to sign a new contract with Pantelić.
On August 30, 2009 he signed an initially limited to one year contract with the Dutch first division club Ajax Amsterdam . With his team he won the KNVB Cup in 2010 . On August 20, 2010, he signed a two-year contract with Olympiacos and returned to Greece after 13 years, where he had started his professional career with Iraklis Saloniki .
National team
Pantelić completed 40 games for the Serbian national soccer team and scored ten goals. He was part of the Serbian team at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa . In 2003 and 2004 he ran three times for the national team of what was then Serbia and Montenegro .
Others
Together with Bruno Labbadia and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, he is one of the players who have awarded four penalties in a row in the Bundesliga.
Next to the soccer field, his antics made headlines. After three season games for FC Yverdon, he disappeared without a trace for several weeks due to "private problems".
