The Voetbalvereniging IJsselmeervogels ( football club IJsselmeer birds ) is a Dutch football club from Spakenburg on the IJsselmeer . With seven amateur championships, the IJsselmeervogels are the most successful Dutch amateur football club. The greatest success in the club's history is reaching the KNVB Cup semi-finals in 1975 . The successful year was crowned with the team of the year award in the Netherlands as the only amateur club to date. The VV currently (2013/14) plays in the highest amateur league, the third- class top class (Saturday group), whose first overall champion he was in 2011. After two mixed seasons, De Vogels ( The Birds ) are in 1st place in their top class group in December 2013 and, after two victories over professional teams, reached the round of 16 of the KNVB Cup 2013/14 , in which they won Ajax Amsterdam in front of a sold out home crowd with 0: 3 documents.
