NAC Breda (abbreviation for: N OAD- A DVENDO C ombinatie) is the name of the professional football club in the city of Breda in the Netherlands .
Origin of name
The acronyms stand for the guiding principles of the predecessor clubs NOAD = Nooit Ophouden Altijd Doorzetten ( German : Never stop, always go on ) and ADVENDO = Aangenaam Door Vermaak En Nuttig Door Ontspanning (German: Pleasant through entertainment and useful through relaxation ).
history
The association was founded on September 19, 1912. The club colors are black and yellow.
In 1921 NAC won the Dutch championship title , and in 1973 the cup victory could be celebrated. In 2003 NAC finished fourth in the championship ( Eredivisie ) and qualified for the UEFA Cup . In 2004 the club was able to eliminate PSV Eindhoven and Ajax Amsterdam in the Dutch cup competition and advance to the semi-finals. 2007/08 was one of the most successful seasons for the club. He reached 3rd place in the table at the end of the season.
Stadion
NAC Breda plays its home games in the Rat-Verlegh-Stadion . The stadium is located west of the Breda city center, on the railway line to Rotterdam and Antwerp , and has a capacity of 19,000 spectators. The stadium is also home to the fan shop, advance ticket sales and a small club museum.

Trainer
Since 1926 NAC Breda has been coached in 38 coaching periods (with interim coach). Here, trained Bob Maaskant and Ronald Spelbos the team in two, Jo Janssen even different in three periods. The only German in the post of head coach was former DFB national player Herbert Neumann between 1997 and 1998. Antoon Verlegh , who held this position between 1934 and 1945, was the longest coach in Breda with ELF years.
