Piet de Visser (born September 23, 1934 ) is a Dutch football coach and scout .

Life

De Visser was a coach at Sparta Rotterdam , FC Dordrecht , Telstar , De Graafschap , NEC Nijmegen (1974 to 1976), RWD Molenbeek (Belgium), FC Den Haag , Roda Kerkrade , AZ Alkmaar and Willem II Tilburg . At the latter club he worked the longest, from 1985 to 1991. Under his leadership, the club rose to Eredivisie in 1987 . For health reasons, he had to stop coaching soccer teams.

After his football coaching period, de Visser became head of the scouting department at PSV Eindhoven . After a breach of trust with PSV President Jan Reker , he announced in April 2008 that he should stop scouting. De Visser has made 22 transfers with PSV since 2000, including Heurelho da Silva Gomes , Alex and Mateja Kežman .

De Visser has also been a consultant for Chelsea FC since early 2005 . He is also a confidante of the Chelsea owner Roman Abramowitsch .
