Evander Sno (born April 9, 1987 in Dordrecht ) is a former Dutch football player and today's coach .

As a player

society

Through the Amsterdam association Door Wilskracht Sterk , Sno came to the youth boarding school of the AFC Ajax in summer 2004 . The defensive player only stayed there for a year before he moved to Dutch league rivals Feyenoord Rotterdam for his first professional season , where he was never used.

Before the start of the season, the club officials decided to loan the young player to NAC Breda . Sno gained his first competitive practice there. After a year it should go back to Rotterdam.

However, in the summer of 2006 Celtic Glasgow secured the services of the midfielder for a transfer fee of € 400,000 until 2010. Sno made his debut for Celtic in the victory over FC St. Mirren in the third round of the Scottish League Cup and was praised by the manager for his game. On September 23, 2006, he played for the first time in one of the old firm derbies, he replaced Shunsuke Nakamura towards the end of the 2-0 defeat Celtics against Rangers . In November 2006 Sno was able to score his first goal for Celtic in the Scottish Premier League in a game against Hibernian Edinburgh .

For the 2008/09 season he moved back to Ajax in Amsterdam, where he signed a contract until 2011. On August 30, 2008, in his debut game for Ajax, against Willem II , Sno received the red card and was sent off. In the 2008/09 season he was transferred to Ajax's second team for failure to comply with agreements. For the following season he was loaned to Bristol City.

In September 2010 he suffered a cardiac arrest during a game between Ajax reserves and Vitesse Arnheim , but was resuscitated on the fourth attempt. Two months after the incident, he made his comeback in a second team match on the football field, but could not fight his way back into the Eredivisie squad even under Frank de Boer .

Shortly after the start of the 2011/12 season , the newly promoted RKC Waalwijk secured the services of Snos. On August 19, 2011 Sno made his debut in the yellow and blue dress when he came on as a substitute for Sander Duits after just under an hour at Roda JC Kerkrade when the score was 1-0 . The promoted team won the away game 2-0 and thus recorded his first win of the season. For the 2012/13 season he accepted an offer from league competitor NEC from Nijmegen, where he signed a two-year contract. But just one year later he returned to the RKC Waalwijk and was handed over to the KVC Westerlo six months later .

On January 1, 2017, Sno returned to the field after a break of almost three years for RKC Waalwijk . He played 18 games in six months and scored one goal. He spent the 2017/18 season at the amateur club DHSC Utrecht and then ended his active career.

National team

Sno played in various junior national teams in the Netherlands. In November 2006, Sno was in the squad of the Dutch national team in a friendly against England, but was not substituted on. For the 2008 Summer Olympics he was appointed to the Dutch squad and played two games there.
