The Eredivisie 2012/13 was the 57th season of the highest Dutch football league. The AFC Ajax from Amsterdam started the season as defending champions . FC Zwolle as champions of the Eerste Divisie , who took on the former club name PEC Zwolle again for the new season , and Willem II from Tilburg started as promoted players. The first game of the season took place on August 10, 2012 between Willem II and NAC Breda .
