The Virslīga 2013 was the 22nd season of the highest Latvian football league since it was founded in 1992. It was hosted by the Latvian Football Association . The season started on March 29, 2013 and ended on November 9, 2013.

The champions became the FK Ventspils .

mode

The ten clubs initially played against each other twice; once at home and once away. Then another nine game rounds were completed. The teams that were in the first four places after 18 games, as well as FK Spartaks Jūrmala, had home rights five times. Thus, each team played 27 games per season. FK Liepājas Metalurgs in fifth broke up at the end of the season.

Promoted from the 1. Liga was the FK Ilūkste . The bottom of the table was relegated to the second class 1. līga, the ninth placed played in the relegation against the second of the 1. līga .
