The Virslīga 1992 was the first season of the highest Latvian football league of men, since its re-establishment in 1992. It was played by the Latvian Football Association . The season began on April 17, 1992 and ended on October 22, 1992.

Master was Skonto Riga .

12 teams played against each other twice on a total of 22 match days, divided into a first and a second round. Because of a tie at the top of the table, a playoff was ordered. The two bottom of the table were relegated.
