The Virslīga 1931 was the fifth season of the highest Latvian football league of men. Defending champions Rigas FK became Latvian champions for the second time.

With the newcomer Cēsu SB, the championship was held with eight teams. Each team played once at home and once away against the other seven teams and played 14 games. The bottom of the table was relegated.
