Meret Schindler

Meret Schindler (born April 4, 1986 in Bern ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

Life

Meret Schindler grew up in the city of Bern. She trained as a qualified nurse HF and worked in the healthcare sector. Meret Schindler has been the union secretary of the Swiss Association of Public Service Personnel VPOD of the Canton of Bern since 2018 . She lives in Bern with her partner and their son.

politics

Meret Schindler was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern in 2014 and re-elected in the 2018 elections. She has been a substitute member of the Health and Welfare Commission since 2017 and a member of the tellers of the Grand Council since 2017. From 2014 to 2018 Meret Schindler was a member of the safety commission.

Schindler is vice-president of the SP Bern Ost and a member of the board of the Bern section of the tenants' association and the XENIA association - specialist center for sex work .
