The Virsliga 2020 is the 29th season of the highest Latvian football -Spielklasse the men since its founding in 1992. Officially bears the league called Optibet Virsliga and the Latvian Football Federation held. The season started on June 15 and ends on November 29, 2020. The defending champions are Riga FC .

mode

Participants are the nine clubs from last season, as well as the promoted FK Tukums 2000 / TSS . The ten clubs compete against each other three times. The last one is relegated directly, the penultimate has to go into relegation.

    At the end of the regular season, the runner-up of the 1st līga will compete against the ninth-placed Virslīga in the relegation. The games are in December 2020.
