Futbola klubs Spartaks Jūrmala is a Latvian football club from the city of Jūrmala . The club was founded in 2007 as JPFS Jūrmalas Peldēšanas un Futbola skol ( German Jūrmala Swimming and Football School) Spartak and plays in the highest Latvian league, the Virslīga .

history

In the founding year, the team participated in the 2nd līga . After three years in the second division, Spartaks finished third in 2011. After winning the play-offs against JFK Olimps , the club rose to the Virslīga. In 2014 the team only finished sixth, but qualified for the European Cup for the first time.

The club plays its home games in the Slokas Stadium with a capacity of 2,500 people. The club is known nationally for its offensive style of play.
