Andrejs Pavlovs (born February 22, 1979 in Riga ; Russian Андрей Павлов , Andrej Pawlow ) is a Latvian football player who has been a reserve goalkeeper for the Latvian FK Spartaks Jūrmala since the beginning of 2018 .

Career

Pavlovs' career began at FK Policijas in Riga, and in 2001 he switched to local rivals Skonto . There he was able to win the Latvian championship four times in a row as a substitute goalkeeper from 2001 to 2004. In early 2005 he left the club to become the new number one of FK Riga . At the beginning of 2008 he joined FK Ventspils , where he was rarely used as deputy to Andris Vaņins . In 2008 he won the championship again. In July 2008 he was loaned to Levski Sofia for six months, and in early 2009 to FK Shakhtsor Salihorsk for six months .

In early 2010 Pavlovs moved to Akritas Chlorakas in the Cypriot second division . In December 2010, first division club AE Paphos signed him, with whom he had to relegate at the end of the season . He moved to Olympiacos Nicosia in the summer of 2011 . During the first half of the 2011/12 season he lost his place in goal to Ernestas Šetkus . At the beginning of 2012 he went to Lokomotive Plovdiv in Bulgaria, but was not used there.

In the summer of 2012 Pavlovs returned to Latvia, where he joined the FK Spartaks Jūrmala . At the beginning of 2014 he became the new number one at Skonto Riga. After two seasons he signed the FK Ventspils, where he fought with Maksims Uvarenko for the place between the posts. Since the beginning of 2018 he has been playing for Spartak's Jūrmala again.

National team

In 2003 Pavlovs made his debut in the Latvian national team and took part as the third goalkeeper at the 2004 European Championship in Portugal, but was not used. In 2004 Pavlos made his last international match.
