The FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk ( belarusian ФК Шахцёр Салігорск ; Russian ФК Шахтёр Солигорск / FK Schachtjor Soligorsk ; шахцёр / шахтёр , Bergmann ') is a white Russian football club from the city Salihorsk (Russian Soligorsk).

history

Shakhtsor Salihorsk was founded in 1961. The club was a founding member of the first Belarusian league in 1992 , to which it has belonged continuously since then. In the first few years you usually ended up in the lower midfield. The 1997 season ended the team in last place in the table and escaped relegation only because a better-placed club withdrew from the league and two more merged.

Between 1999 and 2008 Schachzjor reached a place in the top five ten times in a row. The first title win came in 2004 in the Belarusian Cup with a 1-0 after extra time in the final against FK Homel . The following year, the club was 13 points ahead of Dinamo Minsk for the first and so far only Belarusian champions.

Then Schachzjor reached the cup final three times, but all three finals were lost, in 2006 with 1: 3 after extra time against BATE Baryssau , in 2008 with 1: 2 against MTZ-RIPA Minsk and in 2009 with 1: 2 after extra time against Naftan Nawapolazk .
