The FK-Tarpeda BelAZ zhodzina ( belarusian ФК Тарпеда-БелАЗ Жодзіна , Russian Фк Торпедо-БелАЗ Жодино / FK torpedo BelAZ Zhodino , also as Torpedo Zhodino referred to) is a white Russian football club from zhodzina .

history

The club, founded in 1961, played for years in the championship of the Belarusian SSR , which could be won in 1970, 1971, 1980 and 1981. In 1989 it was renamed BelAZ Schodsina and under this name the team joined the newly created Wyschejschaja Liha in 1992 . The club has had its current name since 1993, but in the same year had to be relegated from the top class after only two victories this season.

In the 1990s Tarpeda-BelAS played continuously in the second Belarusian league and regularly occupied places in the front midfield. 2001 succeeded as the second division champion return to the Wyschejschaja Liha, where the team was able to establish itself right away in the middle of the table. In the 2007 season, the club just missed entry into the European Cup as fourth in the table, one point behind runner-up FK Homel and FK Schachzjor Salihorsk .

In 2010, the club reached the final of the Belarusian Cup for the first time. This was lost against master BATE Baryssau with 0: 5. The final entitlement Tarpeda-BelAS to participate in the qualification for the Europa League 2010/11 , where the team prevailed in the first round against Fylkir Reykjavík and was eliminated in the second round against OFK Belgrade . The 2010 league season ended the team on the penultimate place in the table and secured relegation only in the relegation against SKVICh Minsk .
