After the club was previously active in the Soviet Second League , the third highest division of the Soviet Union , in 1992 it became a founding member of the Wyschejschaja Liha , the top division of Belarus, which had become independent in 1991. Njoman Hrodna achieved his best position in the league with the runner-up in the 2002 season. After the team had been up to five points ahead of first place over the entire second half of the season up to the last matchday, they lost it by a 1: 1- A draw in the last game at FK Dinamo Brest and finished the league level on points with the first BATE Baryssau in second place. In the deciding game for the championship, she was defeated by BATE 0: 1 after extra time. The runner-up allowed Njoman to participate in qualifying for the 2003/04 UEFA Cup , where the team were eliminated on the away goals rule after two draws (1-1 at home and 0-0 away) against Steaua Bucharest .

2005 Njoman played again internationally. In the first round of the UI Cup they lost to FC Tescoma Zlín . Njoman has taken part in four European competitions so far, most recently in the 2014/15 season in the UEFA Europa League. The overall balance: 8 games, 1 win, 4 draws, 3 defeats, 4:11 goals.
