Wital Viktoravich Radzivonau ( Belarusian Віталь Віктаравіч Радзівонаў , transliteration: Vital 'Viktaravič Radzivonaŭ ; born December 11, 1983 in Wizebsk ) is a former Belarusian football player . The striker was under contract with BATE Baryssau for eleven years and played the second half of the 2008/09 season on loan from the then German second division club SC Freiburg . He is now the sports director of BATE Baryssau.
Career
After holding positions at FK Lokomotive 96 Vitebsk and Torpedo Schodsina , Radsiwonau switched to BATE Baryssau in early 2006 . In addition to the double in his first season at BATE, he won the Belarusian championship two more times in 2007 and 2008. In 2008, after victories over Reykjavík, Anderlecht and Sofia, they became the first Belarusian team to qualify for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League . With three draws in the group stage (two against Juventus Turin , one against Zenit St. Petersburg ) they did respectable. In early 2009 he was awarded for six months to the German club SC Freiburg , where he played twelve games in the 2nd Bundesliga and scored four goals. In July 2009 he returned to BATE Baryssau.
In the election for Belarusian Footballer of the Year 2008, he finished second behind Aljaksandr Hleb .
