Henads Blisnjuk ( Belarusian Генадзь Блізнюк , Eng. Transcription Henadz Blizniuk , also Russian Геннадий Петрович Близнюк - Gennady Petrovich Blisnjuk - Gennadiy Bliznyuk * 30 July 1980 in Svietlahorsk ) is a Belarusian footballer .

Career

Blisnjuk came over the lower class teams Energija Shlobin (3rd division) and Kommunalnik Swetlahorsk (2nd division) in 1999 to the first division club FK Homel . After three rather mixed years at Homel, he was able to show a double-digit goal scoring for the first time at the end of the season in 2002 and was even top scorer with 18 goals a year later. After a cup and a championship title, he moved to the Russian second division club Sokol Saratow in 2004 . In mid-2005 he returned to Belarus after Sokol was about to crash into Russian amateur football and joined the up-and-coming first division club BATE Baryssau .

In addition to the double in the 2006 season, he won the Belarusian championship two more times in 2007 and 2008. In 2008, after victories over Reykjavík, Anderlecht and Sofia, they became the first Belarusian team to qualify for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League . Blisnjuk played his part with three goals during qualifying. With three draws in the group stage (two against Juventus Turin , one against Zenit St. Petersburg ) they did respectable. In early 2009, he moved to the German second division club FSV Frankfurt on a free transfer . From 2009 to 2010 he stayed at FK Sibir Novosibirsk , from there he came to Belschyna Babrujsk in 2010 and moved from this to FK Olimpik Baku in the same year , which he also left after just a few months in winter 2010/11 to return to To return to Belshyna Babruysk.
