Connah's Quay Nomads (full name: Connah's Quay Nomads FC) is a football club from Connah's Quay , Flintshire , which currently plays in the Welsh Premier League .

history

The club was founded in July 1946 under the name Connah's Quay Juniors . Today he plays his games at Deeside Stadium , a multi-purpose stadium with 1,500 seats, 500 of which are seated.

In 1951 the name was changed to Connah's Quay Nomads FC, the addition "GAP" has technical sponsorship reasons and took place in 2008.

The club was a founding member of the League of Wales in 1992/93 and finished eighth in their first season. From then on, the team became an integral part of the league and always occupied a place in the secured midfield. In 1996 the club won the Welsh League Cup , the Welsh League Cup .

After 18 years of permanent membership in the top division, they rose in the 2009/10 season as fourteenth in the second division. The return from the second-rate Cymru Alliance succeeded in the 2012/13 season. Since then, you've been back in midfield in the League of Wales.

The greatest successes in the club's history are the titles in the 2018 national cup , when they defeated Aberystwyth Town 4-1 in the final , and in the 2020 Welsh championship .
